How can we help?
Help with your player, your library and picking up where you left off.
Talk to us
Mad@beingmad.coInclude your app version, device, OS version and the steps that led to the problem. Never send your IPTV password, TMDB key or token, or full stream URL. Hide account details in screenshots.
MADPLAY is a free media player. It does not include channels, films, shows or an IPTV subscription. Bring an account from a provider you are authorised to use; your provider may charge separately.
Common questions
How do I sign in?
Enter your provider’s server address, username and password using Xtream Codes. Use the HTTPS address if your provider offers one. MADPLAY does not create or sell provider accounts.
A stream will not play or keeps buffering
Check that your subscription is active and that the same stream works with your provider. Some accounts allow only one stream at a time, so stop playback on your other devices. Try again after checking your connection. An expired account, unavailable channel or missing content is handled by your provider; contact us for problems with the app itself.
How do the Apple TV remote controls work?
While player controls are hidden, press the centre button or Play/Pause to pause and resume. Press Up to open controls. While watching a series, Down opens episodes. Use Left and Right to seek, and hold to move farther. Back closes the current panel or controls before returning to browsing. When a button has focus, the centre button selects it.
Can I resume movies and episodes?
Continue Watching saves supported movies and episodes. Open a title and choose Resume. Seeking, total duration and available tracks depend on the media your provider supplies. My List, watched status and progress can sync between iPhone and Apple TV through iCloud when both devices use the same Apple Account and IPTV subscription.
Why is iCloud viewing sync waiting?
Check that both Apple devices use the same Apple Account for iCloud, have iCloud access and are signed in to the same IPTV subscription. Open MADPLAY on both devices while online and check the iCloud status in Settings. Changes made offline remain on that device and may sync when iCloud becomes available. The LG webOS app has separate local viewing history.
How do I clear my data?
In Settings, Clear Downloaded Data removes cached information while keeping favourites and playback progress. Clear Watch History removes progress and watched status while keeping My List. Remove Account deletes the saved sign-in; viewing data and catalogue cache are removed when no other saved account uses that subscription. This does not cancel a subscription with your provider. In version 1.0, Disconnect TMDB separately to remove your saved TMDB key or token.
Where do posters and programme information come from?
Your provider supplies the initial artwork, catalogue and guide. In version 1.0, Enhanced Artwork is optional and uses a TMDB API key or read access token you provide. The upcoming version 1.0.1 beta will look up title artwork automatically through a developer-hosted service that contacts TMDB; it will not require your own TMDB key. Matched images load from TMDB’s image service. Neither version sends your IPTV username, password or stream URLs to TMDB or the artwork service. See the Privacy Policy for artwork requests, logging and retention details.
How is my information handled?
Your IPTV password stays in the device Keychain. Version 1.0 also stores an optional TMDB key or token there if you provide one. Viewing progress and My List are saved locally and can sync through your private iCloud database on Apple devices. Playing media makes requests to your provider. Optional TMDB artwork requests in version 1.0, and developer-hosted artwork lookups in the upcoming version 1.0.1 beta, are explained in the MADPLAY Privacy Policy.
